BACK TO FUNDAMENTALS IN A GYMNASIUM

Senior athletes may have noticed fewer obstructions to their attempts to run in an abnormal direction at the track last night. The younger FUNdamentals coached by Barry, Michelle, and Paul and the older group controlled by that bloke with the noisy whistle spent parts of the evening in the gymnasium at Thornhill School.

This was the first indoor session of thirteen taking place until February half term next year, all of them on Tuesday evenings. Twenty nine "FUNdamentalists" turned out from 1825 to 1930 hours (although a few were a little late thanks mainly to the labyrinthine nature of the school grounds), followed shortly by twenty two circuit training athletes from 1930 to 2100 hours.

It being conducted in a gymnasium rather than a larger sports hall made for a cosy time. Erroneous information last night led us to believe that it may have been possible in future weeks to entertain the FUNdamental group in the sports hall. Investigations today confirmed that all future indoor training sessions will be at the same times spent and place used as last night.

Back To Fundamentals In A Gymnasium.

So in the hope that all participants found benefit from the evening, we should have a further twelve frost-free Tuesday training sessions in Thornhill School gymnasium before the Spring.

N.B
Since this was first published Indoor training on Tuesdays at Thornhill school changes slightly, starting 22nd November. We are taking advantage of the empty gym next door to the one we have been using. This means that both groups, FUNdamentals and the older speed circuit group, will start at 1830 and end at 2000. This should help parents with children in both groups, and will help me to get home before 10 o'clock. For those of you wondering, in excess of thirty FUNdamentals and twenty speedsters now turn up for the indoor training.
