Following a steward's inquiry, the Sunderland Harriers Women's team of Nicola Woodward, Colleen Compson and Vikki Cotton have been upgrade to GOLD MEDALISTS in the North-East Masters Cross-Country Championships, held last Saturday at Wallsend. It appears a North Shields Poly runner who finished 10th in the individual race was erroneously included in the L35 team count and has subsequently been removed, giving the Royal Blue belles the area title for the first time in the club's history, ahead of Sunderland Strollers and Tyne Bridge Harriers.
