Because of the effects of Covid 19 our financial year was brought into line with that of England Athletics and our AGM was moved to each April. This year our AGM is programmed for 4th April 2022.

When we moved our AGM from October 2020 to April 2021 membership of existing members was also extended to April 2021. Now membership renewal becomes due from the AGM, where rates could be increased, but can be paid from 1st March 2022 at current rates as shown on our website Membership page.....

Reduced rate Family Membership is available. A family must consist of at least three related members. One, but not more than two, must be a Senior member; and at least one must be from a younger age group. Each individual’s appropriate fee is reduced by £15 for a Senior member and £10 for a younger member to produce the “Family Membership” fee.
Here a “year” means the year from 1st April 2022 to 31st March 2023. All athletes are expected to register with England Athletics through the Club.

As usual members will have a period of payment grace, now until 31st May 2022 to renew their membership, after that date they will, as normal, be treated as having resigned.

The membership of any NEW member who joined us from 1st January 2022 will be extended to 31st March 2023 so that NEW member will not need to renew until April 2023.

Those of us who can remember "normal" times will know that membership fees were received in the form of cash or cheques by human beings at the AGM or at the Club on a Tuesday or Thursday night. Covid 19 dragged the Club a short distance into the twenty first century, we can now also use bank transfer to the Sunderland Harriers account code 556111 36490873, or send a cheque made out to Sunderland Harriers & AC to our Hon. Treasurer at 19 Drayton Road, Seaburn, Sunderland SR6 8HE.

It is vital that our hard-working Treasurer knows who the payments are for, particularly if it is for a family membership, so especially if paying by bank transfer please put a name on the transfer.
