This year our AGM took place 3rd April 2023.

Membership renewal became due from the AGM, where rates were increased, but could be paid from 1st March 2023 at the old rates and many members took advantage of that fact.

As usual members have a period of payment grace until 31st May 2023 to renew their membership, after that date they will, as normal, be treated as having resigned.

So far only half of our members have renewed their membership and less than two weeks remain to pay and continue as a member. The updated subscription rates are as shown on our website membership page....

Reduced rate Family Membership is available. A family must consist of at least three related members. One, but not more than two, must be a Senior member; and at least one must be from a younger age group. Each individual’s appropriate fee is reduced by £20 for a Senior member and £15 for a younger member to produce the “Family Membership” fee.

Here a “year” means the year from 1st April 2023 to 31st March 2024. All athletes are expected to register with England Athletics through the Club.

The membership of any NEW member who joined us after 1st January 2023 will extend to 31st March 2024 so that NEW member will not need to renew until April 2024. However these NEW members will need to pay England Athletics registration fee after the AGM, which from that date England Athletics have increased to £17, if they are not also NEW to England Athletics.

Membership fees can be presented in the form of cash or cheques at the AGM or at the Club on a Tuesday or Thursday night, bank transfer to the Sunderland Harriers account code 556111 36490873 can also be used.

It is vital that our hard-working Treasurer knows who the payments are for, particularly if it is for a family membership, so especially if paying by bank transfer please put a name on the transfer.
