You may all have heard the sad news of the passing of Ann Lillie yesterday.

Ann was a huge part of the Sunderland Harriers’ family for many years, mentor and friend to the young since her first association, Treasurer for over thirty years, keeping us all in order at Committee meetings with her warmhearted charm.

Ann was uncomplaining through all of her physical burdens, unfailingly supported by her husband Robert, loved by her son Darren, Tina, and Ann’s beloved grandchildren.

She will be sadly missed not only by this Club but by all who knew her and whom she had helped and supported including Sunderland University School of Nursing and Grace House.

I will miss our meetings, long telephone conversations, and her infectious laugh.
