Joint performance of the day at the Elswick Relays went to Eve Quinn and Sarah Knight who beat off all the competition to record a superb one-two finish for the Royal Blues.

In a tight finish Eve edged to victory by just one second from her club-mate in 9:36, with Houghton’s Lily Hardie a further two seconds back in third. Both girls have enjoyed great cross-country season and their rivalry will spur them on to greater things as we move towards the track season.

Lydia Stoker placed 15th in the U-13 Girls race, whilst amongst the boys, Rowan James was 21st and Aiden Mitchell 23rd in the U-15 age group.
