A week past Sunday the whole nation tuned into their TV's to watch the Virgin Money London Marathon. It was a successful day for all of the Sunderland Harriers who made the trip to the capital. All the senior men and women were successful in completing the race, all running great times. Two junior members from the club also took the journey down to compete in the Virgin Money Giving Mini-Marathon, the three mile race for Under-15 and Under-17 athletes. Connor Prior ran in the U13 race finishing 42nd out of the 242 runners, 4th counter from the north east and running a great time of 17.27. Afterwards, Sarah Knight competed in the U15 girls race finishing 33rd overall, second counter from the north east team in a time of 18:18.
